Buying or renting a property is a big commitment, so it’s important to ensure you’re financially ready before diving in. You need to be able to pay your rent/mortgage, running costs, and any repairs/damage that might arise.

• You should not give the seller any money until you have viewed the property. Remember serious landlords/sellers will want to meet in person
• Check the property for damage/snags so you can make the seller/landlord aware.
• Make sure you have a written contract in place to finalise the deal
